How to choose the correct violin size

Choosing the correct violin size involves a simple measurement which will help you to know which violin size is best suited for you or someone else. First, have the individual who will be using the violin extend his or her left arm fully outstretched with no bend in the arm. Next, measure the distance from the sternum (the large central part of the breastbone) to the center of the palm. Of the outstretched arm.
